Uber driver robbed of car in Pimpri

A case has been registered against three unidentified robbers at Pimpri police station.

Pune: A Uber driver was robbed of his car at knife point on the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday at Pimpri.

A case has been registered against three unidentified robbers at Pimpri police station.

The complainant, Saurabh Deshmukh (23), a resident of Hadapsar was robbed by the three accused when he was returning after dropping a passenger at Pimpri.

According to the Pimpri police, the complainant picked up the passenger from Bhumkar Chowk at Wakad and dropped her at Swapna Nagri Colony at Pimpri. While he was on his way back he was stopped by the three accused. One of the accused put a knife on him and pulled him out of the car. Two of the accused sat inside the car and drove away whereas the third one escaped on motorcycle. 

The police have registered a case of robbery against the accused.
