Two workers arrested for extortion bid

Two persons have been arrested by Mundhwa police for allegedly threatening to kill the project manager of a private company and demanding Rs 25,000 from him. The incident occurred on Thursday at the company’s construction site in Keshav Nagar. 

Pune: Two persons have been arrested by Mundhwa police for allegedly threatening to kill the project manager of a private company and demanding Rs 25,000 from him. The incident occurred on Thursday at the company’s construction site in Keshav Nagar. 

Those arrested were identified as Bunty Shelke and Shekhar Pisal. The duo posed as contractors and demanded money from Vijay Jadhav who is the project manager of Millennium Engineering and Contractor private limited.  As per Mundhwa Police, The duo threatened to kill Jadhav and demanded money after the contract of a Mathadi labour organisation was terminated by the complainant because of shoddy work.
