Two persons including teacher held in Arms Act case

Pune: Two persons including a teacher at a Zilla Parishad school were arrested by officials of the Pune rural police for allegedly possessing country made pistols in Panshet on Sunday evening. Two pistols and two cartridges were recovered from the arrested accused identified as Tanaji Margale(36) and Dattatreya Nivgunne(33), both from Velha. As per information was given by Assistant police inspector Ankush Mane, assistant sub inspector Dilip Jadhavar had received information that the two accused will be coming along with the weapons near Panshet. Accordingly, a trap was laid by police and the accused were nabbed. The accused are been booked under sections of arms act at Velha police station. Police said that Tanaji is a school teacher at Zilla Parishad school and Nivgunne is his friend.
