Two more held for Deven Shah's murder

Pune: Two more persons have arrested in connection with the murder case of builder Devendra Shah. Earlier, the Deccan police station had arrested Ravindra Chorge and Rahul Shivtare for the shoot out. 

Now, the police have arrested Shankar Nevle of Chandan Nagar, who had provided money to Shivtare for purchase of pistol which was used in the crime. Later, a police team went to Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh and nabbed Sunil alias Sonu Madanlalji Rathod (34) of Nilganga, Ujjain, who had sold the pistol to Shivtare for Rs 60,000.

Deven Shah (56), founder of Ambika Corp, who used to reside at Sayali Apartments in lane number 7 of Prabhat Road, was shot at around 11:05 pm on January 13. The accused had sent a person who runs a laundry shop there to call Shah downstairs.

Initially, Shah's son Atit came downstairs but the duo told him that they have come to meet his father and not him. Later, when Shah arrived downstairs; he was instantly shot at by the two assailants.

Shah received two bullet injuries.
