Two builders booked for not giving possession of flats

The police said the builders were constructing ‘Suda Suman’ residential building near Shankarmath in Hadapsar. In 2012-13, Sanghvi paid Rs 68.55 lakh for three flats, but the accused were not registering the flats in his name. When he went to the site, he learnt the flats were sold to someone else. 

PUNE: Hadapsar police have booked two builders for allegedly duping a trader by taking Rs 68 lakh and not handing him possession of three flats, which were sold to a third party. 

Nitin Manilal Sanghvi (41) of Bhavani Peth lodged a complaint against Bharat Dadasaheb Jain and Pankaj Mansukhlal Gundecha of M/s Arihant Developers. 

The police said the builders were constructing ‘Suda Suman’ residential building near Shankarmath in Hadapsar. In 2012-13, Sanghvi paid Rs 68.55 lakh for three flats, but the accused were not registering the flats in his name. When he went to the site, he learnt the flats were sold to someone else. 

Based on his complaint, Hadapsar police have booked the builders for cheating, forgery, criminal breach of trust under the Indian Penal Code.
