Two B’deshi terror suspects remanded in police custody

Pune: Two more Bangladeshi terror suspects who were arrested by Pune ATS from Thane and Raigad on Friday night were remanded in police custody till March 29 by the Pune sessions court on Monday.

The two accused, Mohammad Hasan Mohammad Amir and Mohammad Aahat Ali alias Raj Mandal were arrested from Thane and Raigad after the arrest of three Bangladeshi terror suspects from Pune who were nabbed in a joint operation of Military Intelligence and Pune ATS.

The three arrested from Pune were identified as Mohammad Habibur Rahman alias Raj Jesub, Mohammad Ripon Hossain, both residents of Satani Pushkali in Khulna district of Bangladesh and Mohammad Hornan Anwar Husain Khan, a resident of Birajikundi in Shariyatpur district.

During the investigation, it was revealed that Ali alias Raj Mandal and Amir were  involved in providing logistical support to members of terrorist outfit Ansarul Bangla Team during their stay in Pune. Ali alias Raj Mandal prepared fake documents for the four others. He secured fake Aadhaar card, Pan card for them.

In all, five Bangladeshi nationals have been arrested till Monday so far.
