Twenty stolen 2-wheelers recovered by city police

Sleuths from Hadapsar police station seized 20 stolen two-wheelers from criminals on police record. 

Pune: Sleuths from Hadapsar police station seized 20 stolen two-wheelers from criminals on police record. 

On June 21, the police nabbed Prakash Ajinath Gaikwad (49) of Rashin in Karjat taluka of Ahmednagar district, when he was moving suspiciously in Hadapsar. Later it was found that he was riding a stolen bike. During investigation, the police recovered 18 stolen two-wheelers from his possession. 

The police said Gaikwad had been stealing vehicles in Pune, Ahmednagar and Beed. He was wanted by the police. 

In another case, the police arrested Jyatiram Haribhau Kale (30) of Korti in Solapur district.  The investigation team included Assistant Police Inspector Prasad Lonare, Police Sub Inspector Mangesh Bhange and policemen Pratap Gaikwad, Vinod Shiwle, Nitin Mundhe, Akbar Shaikh and Bajrang Dhaygude.
