Tricolour to be hoisted at Council Hall

Officials have appealed to people to reach the venue 20 minutes before time and be a part of the occasion. 

PUNE: To celebrate the 72nd Independence Day on August 15, Governor C Vidyasagar Rao, Divisional Commissioner Deepak Mhaiskar and Pune District Collector Naval Kishore Ram will be hoisting the Indian flag at Council Hall  on Wednesday at 9 am. 

Officials have appealed to people to reach the venue 20 minutes before time and be a part of the occasion. 

For security concerns, officials have appealed to people not to carry bags and other material at the venue.

India is celebrating its 72nd Independence Day on August 15. 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hoist the Tricolour, followed by his address to the nation from the ramparts of the Red Fort in New Delhi.
