Train services on Pune-Mumbai route disrupted due to rains

According to the Railways, train number 22106 Pune-Mumbai Indrayani Express which was scheduled to depart at 6.35 pm on Monday was cancelled and train number 22105 Mumbai-Pune Indrayani Express which will depart at 5.40 am on Tuesday has been cancelled due to heavy rains.

PUNE: Continuous heavy rains caused inconvenience to many railway passengers travelling on the Pune and Mumbai route. The Central Railway has cancelled several trains and rescheduled many due to water logging on the railway tracks.

According to the Railways, train number 22106 Pune-Mumbai Indrayani Express which was scheduled to depart at 6.35 pm on Monday was cancelled and train number 22105 Mumbai-Pune Indrayani Express which will depart at 5.40 am on Tuesday has been cancelled due to heavy rains.

Apart from this, train number 12141 LTT-Patliputra Express which was scheduled to depart at 11.35 pm on Monday was rescheduled at 1 am on Tuesday. Similarly, train number 11093 CSMT-Varanasi Mahanagari Express which was scheduled to depart at 12.10 am on Tuesday was rescheduled at 4 am on Tuesday. The train is delayed by 3 hours 50 minutes.

However, several trains running between Pune and Mumbai like Deccan Express, Sinhagad, Pragati and other express trains departed on time and there was no announcement for further delay.
