Trailer topples on Expressway, leads to 30-minute traffic jam

Pune: A 30-minute traffic jam was reported on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway on Monday afternoon after a trailer toppled near Khopoli. 

According to the police, the trailer was heading towards Mumbai from Pune. Police officials said that while passing from Khopoli Food Mall at around 2.30 pm, the driver of the trailer lost control over the vehicle at a sharp curve and toppled on the highway, blocking two of the four lanes.

According to the police, the trailer was heading towards Mumbai from Pune. Police officials said that while passing from Khopoli Food Mall at around 2.30 pm, the driver of the trailer lost control over the vehicle at a sharp curve and toppled on the highway, blocking two of the four lanes.

The traffic continued to move for some time on the two lanes but had to be stopped while officials of IRB and Highway police used two cranes to tow away the trailer. The situation was normal after the incident but there was slow moving traffic for some time. No one suffered injuries in the accident.
