Police have registered a case of assault against the four accused

Pune: Four persons have been booked for vandalising the motorcycle of a traffic warden after the latter honked to get way on the road. The incident occurred in the intervening night of Wednesday-Thursday at Thergaon.

According to the information provided by police, the traffic warden was abused and his motorcycle was vandalised by a group of four persons when the traffic warden honked to get side on the road.

Wakad police informed that Vinod Satpute, a resident of Thergaon, along with three others were standing on the middle of the road at Buwaji corner in Thergaon on the night of the incident. All four accused were irked after the traffic warden Balaji Sagur, a resident of Indrayani Nagar in Thergaon who was on the way home honked to provide a way on the road.

A minor altercation erupted between Sagur and Satpute. As the complainant left the spot he was followed by the Satpute and his three accomplices. The accused persons threw stones on the motorcycle of the complainant who then left his motorcycle and ran away from the spot.

Police have registered a case of assault against the four accused.
