Traffic diversion plan on Karve Rd postponed

Pune: Officials of the Mahametro have decided to push the traffic diversion plan on Karve road ahead by a month. The diversions were about to be implemented due to the ongoing work of Vanaaz-Ramwadi corridor of the metro.

The diversions were supposed to be implemented from February but Mahametro has postponed it to April. The news will come as a relief to students due to their ongoing exam season. The traffic department, Mahametro and corporation body is ready to implement the diversion, which will smoothen the work of Mahametro on Karve Road.

Meanwhile, Mahametro officials informed that two pillars are being erected near Ideal colony area and segmentation work on the pillars will start soon. Mahametro has also started building the Ideal colony and Vanaaz metro station. Mahametro officials said that the work on Karve road will last for at least 12 months. 
“We will try to finish the work as soon as possible so that people do not face inconvenience,” an official from Mahametro said.

Mahametro is coordinating with PMPML, MSRTC, prviate bus vendors, traffic department and Pune Municipal Corporation for the implementation of the diversion.
