Pune: The Pune traffic police has started traffic diversions to decongest Bopodi Chowk on the old Mumbai-Pune highway.

No vehicles will be allowed from Khadki Bazar to Bopodi Chowk from 9 am to 12 noon and from 4 pm till 9 pm. Those coming from Holkar Bridge will have to take a left after the vehicle entry tax post and come to the highway via State Bank of India and Usman Road.

Similarly, those coming from Khadki Bazar will have to turn left at Khadki Business Centre and join the highway after going via the supply depot, factory hospital and All Saints' Church. This plan, implemented since Wednesday, is expected to provide relief to motorists from traffic jams at Bopodi Chowk during peak hours.
