Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth starts business lab

Pune: Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth (TMV) started a Business Laboratory for its commerce and management students on Monday.

“The laboratory has been designed in order to give our students an experience of the functioning of the real business world,” Dr Sanjay Kandalgaonkar, Principal (Commerce Section), TMV said.

“The laboratory has been designed in order to give our students an experience of the functioning of the real business world,” Dr Sanjay Kandalgaonkar, Principal (Commerce Section), TMV said.

“The lab will have a static exhibition of the company reports, bulletins, publications, etc. as well as an incubation lab to facilitate research. Tread directory, maps, annual reports of companies, annual reports of banks, policy documents and other reference material will be available to students. We have acquired reports by Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Bombay Stock Exchange and National Securities Depository Limited (NSDL) for reference. Here, we will also have analysis reports of the current trends and issues of our economy like GST, note ban, etc. We are also already taking our students on industrial visits for field work and surveys to understand the issues the industries are presently facing,” Kandalgaonkar said.

TMV has signed MoUs with around seven trade association as a part of their experiential learning programme. Dr Pranati Tilak, Head of Management, TMV said, “The business laboratory is a research facility that we have developed to bridge the gap between knowledge and industry. This might as well be the first-of-its-kind project in our city.”
