Thunderstorms predicted with monsoon withdrawl

Pune: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast thunderstorms and lightning over Central Maharashtra, Marathwada, Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh in the coming week, followed by rainfall in a few parts of the State. Sporadic rainfall in the city is predicted on all days this week.

Some places in Marathwada, Vidarbha and Central Maharashtra will experience rainfall on October 4 and October 5, where as many places in Konkan and Goa will also experience rainfall.

Pune: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast thunderstorms and lightning over Central Maharashtra, Marathwada, Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh in the coming week, followed by rainfall in a few parts of the State. Sporadic rainfall in the city is predicted on all days this week.

Some places in Marathwada, Vidarbha and Central Maharashtra will experience rainfall on October 4 and October 5, where as many places in Konkan and Goa will also experience rainfall.

Heavy rainfall is forecast in Marathwada and Vidarbha on October 6. Many places in Marathwada and some places in Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra and Vidarbha will receive rain on October 7.

The withdrawal line of the monsoon continues to pass through Uttarkashi, Agra, Shivpur Kalyan, Gandhinagar and Dwarka. IMD noted that the monsoon has been active over Arunachal Pradesh, Odisha, Jharkhand and Telangana.

Temparature soars
†With the monsoon withdrawal, the temperature across the country is soaring. 
†The highest maximum temperature recorded on Tuesday was 40.5 degrees Celsius at Churu in west Rajasthan. 
†Night temperatures were appreciably above normal in parts of Punjab and Rajasthan. 
†The lowest minimum temperature recorded on Tuesday was 18.8 degrees Celsius at Udaipur in east Rajasthan.
