Three persons rob courier office in Kasba Peth, loot cash of Rs 2 lakh

According to information given by Senior Police Inspector Balkrishna Ambure from Faraskhana police station, Chetan was at the courier shop when a man pretending to locate his parcel approached him.

Pune: In a broad daylight robbery, three armed persons looted cash of Rs 2 lakh from a courier service office in Kasba Peth area on Tuesday afternoon.

The owner of the courier service Chetan Munde lodged a case of robbery against three persons in the robbery.

According to information given by Senior Police Inspector Balkrishna Ambure from Faraskhana police station, Chetan was at the courier shop when a man pretending to locate his parcel approached him.

Following which two more persons approached the courier shop. “The accused men were armed with knives and a pistol and looted cash of Rs 2 lakh from the shop,” added Ambure.

Faraskhana police said that the complainant was disturbed by the incident and was unable to give all details in the case.

Following the incident, officials of Crime Branch and Faraskhana police rushed to the spot but the robbers vanished from the spot.

“We are trying to look for CCTV footages in the area regarding the incident,” added Ambure.
