Three FTII students honoured

Pune: Three students from the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune have been felicitated with top honours at the 65th National Awards announced on Friday.

Arun Kuppuswamy (Dir: ‘Monday’), Medhpranav Powar (Dir: ‘Happy Birthday’) and Swapnil Kapure (Dir: ‘Bhari Dupari’) are the students, who have won accolades in the non-feature films category.

Pune: Three students from the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune have been felicitated with top honours at the 65th National Awards announced on Friday.

Arun Kuppuswamy (Dir: ‘Monday’), Medhpranav Powar (Dir: ‘Happy Birthday’) and Swapnil Kapure (Dir: ‘Bhari Dupari’) are the students, who have won accolades in the non-feature films category.

The diploma film ‘Monday’ won the Special Jury Award with Rajat Kamal and Rs 50,000 each to the producer and the director.
The TV course final fiction film ‘Happy Birthday’ won the Best Film on Family Values award with Rajat Kamal and Rs 50,000 each to the producer and the director. 

The third one, a TV course final fiction film ‘Bhar Dupari’ (The Afternoon) won the Special mention award with a certificate.
“It is a matter of pride and joy that FTII’s three student films have bagged India’s most respected and prestigious honours for 2017, National Awards,” Bhupendra Kainthola, Director, FTII, said.
