Third Std XI merit list deferred till July 31

Pune: The third merit list for the regular rounds of admissions for Std XI under the online Centralised Admission Process (CAP) will be declared on July 31 owing to a High Court order. The list was expected to be declared on Thursday.

A statement issued by CAP Committee said, “As per the order by the High Court dated July 25, minority colleges are allowed to surrender only their in-house seats. Surrender link for the same will be active on July 26 from 11.45 am to 6 pm.”

While minority colleges surrendered the seats on Thursday, the revised list of vacancies will be declared on Friday, July 27. Also, the students will be allowed to revise their choices in the preference list according to the new figures for vacancies from 11.30 am on July 27 to 6 pm on July 28.

“The minority colleges were conducting their in-house admissions all this while. As they were ready to submit their vacant seats now, we extended the third merit list. The seats surrendered by the minority colleges will now be added to the general seats and any CAP student will be able to avail them. This will be beneficial to students as they will get more seats at their disposal to choose from,” a source from the CAP Committee said.

Till now, in round one and two of admissions, a total of 29,674 students have taken admissions at colleges in Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad.
