Thieves attempt to burgle flat of State minister Dilip Kamble

A group of unidentified burglars broke in the office-cum-flat of Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Dilip Kamble in Wanawadi on Friday night.

Pune: A group of unidentified burglars broke in the office-cum-flat of Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Dilip Kamble in Wanawadi on Friday night.

Besides making an attempt to burgle Kamble’s flat at Parmar Nagar, the thieves also attempted to burgle three more flats in the same building. However, they were not successful in their attempts.

According to the Wanawadi police, the attempt of burglary in Kamble’s office-cum-flat, located on the first floor of ‘H’ building, was observed by a woman, who reported the matter to the police.

Milind Patil, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Wanawadi Division, said, “Although thieves entered the flat of Minister Kamble and others, they could not get away with any booty. They had turned the direction of CCTV cameras to hide their identity. We have initiated an investigation into the matter and will nab them soon.”
