On March 17, Sapna Dey (48), a resident of NIBM Road, Kondhwa, who had gone for an evening walk near Pune Racecourse was shocked to find that some unidentified person had stolen her purse which she had kept in her car.

"I took about 25 minutes for my evening walk. After I returned at around 7.30 pm, it came as a shock to me that my purse was missing from the car and its window glass was broken. I had kept a bunch of keys, my driving licence and Rs 1,500 cash in my purse. I have been going for my evening walk there for last several years but such an incident happened for the first time," added Sapna, who runs a clothing shop in Camp. She lodged an FIR of theft with Wanawadi police station.

Sapna earlier blamed the unidentified thief involved in stealing her belongings, has now developed a soft corner for the thief after she received a package containing her driving licence. "The thief must have been a learned person as can be judged by his gesture. I do not have to go through the hassle of getting a new licence now," added Sapna, who received her driving licence on Wednesday.
