Temp to rise in city

Pune: On Sunday, Pune recorded a maximum temperature of 29 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 10.9 degrees Celsius. Though some parts of the city witnessed cool breeze in the wee hours, the situation might not continue for long. 

According to the IMD, maximum temperature in the city will touch 32 degrees Celsius next week and the minimum will be around 14 degrees Celsius. On Sunday, some parts of Vidarbha and Marathwada experienced a cold wave conditions.  

The lowest minimum temperature in the State was recorded at 9.5 degrees Celsius in Brahmapuri. For the next few weeks, weather across the State will remain dry, said IMD.
Across the country, cold wave conditions prevailed at isolated places over Odisha. 

Also, cold day to severe cold day conditions prevailed at isolated places in Bihar. The lowest minimum temperature across India was recorded at 2.7 degrees Celsius in Hissar, Haryana.

The IMD also noted that dense to very dense fog was observed in sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Dense fog was observed in Gangetic West Bengal, Haryana and Punjab. 

Shallow to moderate fog was observed in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura in the morning hours.
The IMD has predicted that cold day conditions at isolated places are very likely over Bihar till January 25. Dense to very dense fog is very likely at a few places over Bihar and at isolated places over sub-Himalayan West Bengal in the coming week.
