Techie booked for threatening to shoot woman

PUNE: An IT engineer working with a multinational company in Hinjawadi,  has been booked by the Wakad police for allegedly threatening to shoot a woman who rejected his proposal for a relationship. The victim is employed by the same multinational company. 

The victim has lodged a complaint with the Wakad police. As per the complaint lodged by the 24-year-old woman, the incident took place between November 5 and 10 this year. 

The accused hails from Jodhpur in Rajasthan, and currently resides in Wakad. 

According to the Wakad police, the accused had been harassing the woman, demanding a relationship and when she refused to agree, he threatened to shoot her dead with a revolver. The accused was also allegedly sending her objectionable messages and calling her up repeatedly on her cell phone. 

The police are investigating the case and are yet to arrest the accused.
