Teachers hold stir outside edu chief’s office

Sambhajirao Shirsat, President, Maharashtra Rajya Shikshak Sena, said, “Around 20 per cent of the teachers in Pune division had to work without pay in the last six months. We want the education commissioner to take strict action against those concerned.”

Pune: Maharashtra Rajya Shikshak Sena on Monday agitated outside the office of Education Commissioner Vipin Sharma. One of the key issues highlighted by the organisation was that no new teachers should be appointed by the government until the teachers appointed in the State from 2013-14 to 2016-17 are made permanent.

Sambhajirao Shirsat, President, Maharashtra Rajya Shikshak Sena, said, “Around 20 per cent of the teachers in Pune division had to work without pay in the last six months. We want the education commissioner to take strict action against those concerned.”
