Tallest Tricolour to be unfurled at Bhakti Shakti Chowk today

Pimpri: A 107-metre tall Tricolour will be inaugurated on Friday at Bhakti Shakti Chowk, Nigdi, in the presence of District Guardian Minister Girish Bapat, Maharashtra Gaurav Puraskar and Vir Chakra recipient Col (retd) Sadand Salunkhe and Dehu Road Cantonment Board President Brig OP Vaishnav. 

It is claimed to be the tallest tricolour in India.

Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Commissioner Shravan Hardikar, Mayor Nitin Kalje, Standing Committee Chairperson Seema Savle, MLAs Laxman Jagtap, Mahesh Landge and Gautam Chabuskar, and MPs Aamar Sable, Shivaji Adhalrao Patil, Shrirang Barne and Supriya Sule will also be present at the ceremony. 

Programmes to mark Republic Day will start from 8 am. Pandit Panchwatkar will perform at the event from 8 am to 10 am. The flag will be hoisted at 10 am.
