Swachhata Campaign award held by Pune Cantonment Board in city

Pune: The Pune Cantonment Board (PCB) conducted various activities during the Swachhata Campaign from September 15 to October 1. On October 2, an award distribution ceremony was held at PCB office.

Various competitions were held in schools, including essay writing, drawing and painting, skit and songs.

The chief guest for the occasion was Sanjeev Kumar, Director of Defence Estates, Southern Command, Pune. Twenty conservancy staffers were awarded a cash prize of Rs 5,000 each for working with zeal. 

Five mukadams were awarded a cash prize of Rs 7,000 each for keeping their areas clean. The chief health superintendent and health superintendent were given cash award of Rs 9,000 and Rs 8,000 respectively.

Ward No 3, represented by Dilip Giramkar, and ward No 4, represented by Atul Gaikwad were given a prize for Swachh Ward. 

Swachhata Doot award was also given to citizens who participated and co-operated with the staffers of Cantonment Board in its activities.
