PIMPRI: Baramati MP Supriya Sule visited the Rajiv Gandhi Infotech Park at Hinjawadi on Monday to inspect the traffic situation there and later held a meeting with government officials, representatives of the software personnel and local residents. Hinjawadi is part of the Baramati Lok Sabha constituency.
Later speaking to media persons, Sule said that the one-way traffic introduced at the Shivaji Chowk in Hinjawadi has solved the traffic congestion issue by 50 per cent. Appreciating the role of the traffic police officials in this regard, the MP also took selfies with these officials.
Hinjawadi falls under the jurisdiction of various departments and agencies, including the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) and Hinjawadi village panchayat.
Sule said she will hold a meeting with representatives of these agencies every month to find a solution to various problems faced in Hinjawadi.
She inspected the traffic situation at Shivaji Chowk at 8.30 am. Later, she held a meeting with representatives of the MIDC, Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA), police, Public Works Department, Hinjawadi IT Association and Hinjawadi residents.
Those present at the meeting included Hinjawadi Sarpanch Deepali Sakhare, Pimpri Chinchwad corporators Mayur Kalate and Sachin Dodke, MIDC Regional Officer Santoshkumar Deshmukh and Executive Engineer Nilesh Modhwe.
