Sugarcane researcher Dr Jadhav passes away

Dr Jadhav had completed his doctoral research in water management from Mahatma Phule Agriculture University, Rahuri, while he had completed his post-graduation from a reputed institute in Delhi.

Pune: Eminent sugarcane farming expert Dr Sampat Bhagwant Jadhav (82) passed away on August 31. He is survived by his wife, son and three daughters. Dr Jadhav was the father of Sakal employee Sucheta Nalavade. 

Dr Jadhav had completed his doctoral research in water management from Mahatma Phule Agriculture University, Rahuri, while he had completed his post-graduation from a reputed institute in Delhi. While pursuing the professional career path, he worked as Project Director at Mahatma Phule Agriculture University. Later, he also worked as Sugarcane Expert at Central Sugarcane Research Centre, Padegaon.

He was NCC officer at Agriculture University. After his retirement, he worked as Agriculture Department Head at Vasantdada Sugar Institute in Manjri. He was closely associated with Marathwada Mitramandal.
