Submit proposals to RUSA, directs SPPU
Karmalkar emphasised that maximum colleges should come forward to avail of this facility
Pune: Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) has directed 92 colleges affiliated to the varsity to submit a proposal to Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA) for undertaking various infrastructure development related programmes to academic ones from their institutes.
“RUSA will offer grants to those affiliated colleges which are evaluated by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). These 92 colleges have received credit points of 2.5 or above to be eligible for the grant. Therefore, all eligible colleges have been asked to submit proposals for grants soon, as the next round of proceeding for grants will start by RUSA,” said Prafulla Pawar, Dean of Faculty and Director of Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC).
The colleges which have once applied for the grants to RUSA can use the old login username and password, while those who will apply for the first time need to fill the information on the RUSA website, stated the SPPU.
Vice-Chancellor of SPPU Nitin Karmalkar had a meeting with principals and directors of colleges with 2.5 or above grade by NAAC and informed them about the benefits of receiving grants from RUSA. Karmalkar also emphasised that maximum colleges should come forward to avail of this facility.
