Student of MIT college booked for paper leak

The second-year student is said to be appearing for a backlog examination and since he had access to his mobile phone, he could send the photos of the question paper using the phone.

Pune: The investigation committee of Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) has caught the student who leaked the question paper of the first year engineering mechanics on Wednesday morning. 

The second-year student is said to be appearing for a backlog examination and since he had access to his mobile phone, he could send the photos of the question paper using the phone. 
Ashok Chavan, Director of Examination Department at Pune University said that the investigation committee was looking into the matter. It was found that the student appearing for backlog examination of a first-year subject, was late for the examination hall by 15 minutes. 

The SPPU said that a detailed inquiry will be conducted and if the MIT exam centre is found guilty, then a case will be registered against the college.

The officials of MIT College of Engineering said that a complaint against the student has been lodged at Kothrud police station.
The Kothrud police confirmed that an offence has been registered against the student.  

Officials of Savitribai Phule Pune University said the accused hails from Kerala and his parents stay in Lonavla.
