Std XI CAP starts today

According to authorities, part 1 of forms of more than 50,000 students in Pune region have been filled and verified.

PUNE: With the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) results declared on Friday, the online Centralised Admission Process (CAP) for admission to higher secondary schools and junior colleges in Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad for Std XI is set to start on Monday.

While students have already been filling part 1 of the form, which consists of personal information, students will now be able to start filling part 2. According to authorities, part 1 of forms of more than 50,000 students in Pune region have been filled and verified.

As the number of students scoring more than 90 per cent marks has increased this year, there is a possibility that the cut-offs for admissions too might increase. This year, 63,331 students scored above 90 per cent marks in the State. In Pune district, 37,153 students passed with distinction.

In a new development this year, the admission process will start with a special round for admissions to the bifocal courses. Students can choose to take admissions at one of the 30 options provided to them.
