They have sought the report of the implementation of the resolutions passed by the panel in last two months. The administration was supposed to come up with the implementation report in next meeting of the panel.

Pimpri: The ruling party members in the Standing Committee of Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) expressed dissatisfaction over the administration’s apathy towards implementation of the decisions taken by the panel. They have sought the report of the implementation of the resolutions passed by the panel in last two months. The administration was supposed to come up with the implementation report in next meeting of the panel. “It seems we are just passing resolutions for the sake of it, and there is no one to care about its implementation,” said Standing Committee member Vilas Madegiri.

The Standing Committee has given the order to give information about how many resolutions have been implemented. Also, it has instructed administration of immediate implementation of the resolution that was passed in last two months. Vilas Madegiri held the administration responsible for non-implementation of the resolution. The important decision that the panel has made in the last two months include scrapping the door-to-door waste collection contract after allegations of corruption, decision of awarding officers with officers of the month award to the best performing officer, to cancel the tender of social media, reduce the cost of pandals and lighting, not to print the diary of the civic body, to present a book instead of flowers, to cancel the Kerala and Sikkim tour of the officers, to give the space to the PMPML divisional office. But most of these decisions have not been implemented yet.

Vilas Madegiri said, “The Standing Committee has taken some decisions regarding alleged malpractices and to reduce the expenditure. However, It is the responsibility of the administration to implement these decisions. But We are not getting information whether decisions are implemented or not. The administration has not informed the House about this. What has been decided on the resolutions of the members? The administration has to give this information to the panel. He said that instructions have been issued to the administration to make this information available in a week to all members.”
