Stalking case lodged at Koregaon Park police station

A case of stalking was lodged after Police Commissioner Rashmi Shukla intervened. In her complaint, the complainant said that on July 14, her 17-year-old daughter had gone to Sonali Internet Cafe in Koregaon Park for taking a printout. The girl had to enter a phone number in the register at the cafe and so she shared her mother’s number.

Pune: A 48-year-old woman lodged a case against an unidentified person after she was bothered several times on her mobile phone and her daughter was also allegedly stalked by the same unidentified person in 
Koregaon Park. 

A case of stalking was lodged after Police Commissioner Rashmi Shukla intervened. In her complaint, the complainant said that on July 14, her 17-year-old daughter had gone to Sonali Internet Cafe in Koregaon Park for taking a printout. The girl had to enter a phone number in the register at the cafe and so she shared her mother’s number. 

Her phone number was copied by a person who was standing in the cafe. After a few hours, the complainant started getting calls on her mobile number by an unidentified person on the night of July 14. The complainant told police that on July 15, her daughter went out and was followed by the same person who was present in the cafe on July 14. 

On the night of July 16, the complainant again got calls from an unidentified number. Following this, the complainant blocked the unidentified number. A few days later the complainant started getting obscene messages on her WhatsApp account after which the complainant approached Koregaon Park police and lodged a case.
