SPPU and Hindi Sangam to organise conference

PUNE: The Hindi department of Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) and Hindi Sangam Foundation (India/US) have jointly organised an international conference on 'New trends of Hindi education in 21st century' from February 21-22. It will be held in SPPU's Commerce Department auditorium.

Hindi writer and poet Leeladhar Mandloi will inaugurate the conference on Thursday. Gabriela Nik Ilieva from US will present a speech in presence of SPPU Vice-Chancellor, Nitin Karmalkar; Secretary of Foreign Ministry, Dnyaneshwar Mule; Head of Hindi department, Sadanand Bhosale; and eminent litterateurs from Russia and Bulgaria.

"Language has played a major role in human's life. It has eased communication between people and gaining knowledge from across the world. And every country has its own language. Hindi is one such language which has become popular across the globe. Different universities in various countries have inculcated Hindi language as a teaching medium," said Bhosale.

"The conference has been organised to bring forth and discuss different methods of teaching and learning in Hindi language," added Bhosale.
