SPPU’s community radio ‘Vidyanai’ to host noted Marathi writers every week

Pune: Students of Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) will now be able to listen to inspiring stories narrated by renowned Marathi writers on new weekly show ‘Lekhak aplya bhetila’ (meet the writer), hosted by Vidyanai, the SPPU community radio, every Monday. 

In their first episode, which was aired on January 15, Achyut Godbole, an eminent Marathi writer, spoke about his journey from being an IT professional to pursuing his dream to become a writer in an interview with director of Vidyvani Anand Deshmukh.

In their first episode, which was aired on January 15, Achyut Godbole, an eminent Marathi writer, spoke about his journey from being an IT professional to pursuing his dream to become a writer in an interview with director of Vidyvani Anand Deshmukh.

Godbole said, “I was never a subject expert, but have always been a student and learner. I have been inquisitive about people, the world and my surroundings throughout my life, which inspired me to write. Learning is endless and it is important to be curious to learn more.”

In upcoming episodes, many authors like Anil Avchat, Ashutosh Javadekar, Vasant Limaye, Lakshmikant Deshmukh, Mangala Godbole, etc. will speak about their literature, inspiration to write and share interesting facts of their journey. 

These episodes will be broadcast at 11 am on every Monday, while a repeat will be played on Tuesday at 4 pm on 107.4 FM.
