South zone wins National Business Quiz ’18

Two teams each from all zones; East, West, North, South and Central qualified for the final. A team representing the South zone was the winner of the event.

PUNE: The final round of National Business Quiz by National Institute of Personnel Management (NIPM) was concluded at the Department of Management Sciences, Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) on August 30.

A team from NIPM, Tamil Nadu chapter was the winner of National Business Quiz 2018 ans was awarded prize money of Rs 20,000. The winning team comprised M Gopinath and G Kartikeyan from MBA department of Annamalai University. They have represented Neyeveli Chapter of NIPM.

Students of Krishtujayanti School of Management M Saji and Sania Joseph were the first runner-up team and received a prize money of Rs 15,000. Students of MGM Institute of Management Arunima Pusdekar and Surabhi Aher were the second runner-up team and were awarded a prize money of Rs 10,000.

During the event, Capt CM Chitale, Chair Professor, Shantanurao Kirloskar Chair also Vice chairman of NIPM elaborated on the purpose of conducting a business quiz and shared the journey of the quiz from elimination to the final round.

The event was graced by the auspicious presence of Vishvesh Kulkarni, National President of NIPM, RN Singh, Executive Director National Council, NIPM, Capt Kakkar, Member National Council, NIPM, Ashok Joshi, Director, Indsearch Pune and formal Dean Management Faculty, SPPU, Ajay Kulkarni, Office Manager, NIPM, Milind A Marathe, Director, IIMS, Chinchwad and other members from NIPM Executive Committee.

Joshi expressed his view on the changing trend in the business environment and the importance of participation in Business Quiz to the management students. He highlighted that a quiz competition helps in developing a personality, analytical ability and inculcates the thrust for acquiring knowledge.

The questions were asked from various fields of business like HR, Marketing channels and many more. There were many creative patterns like the identification of logos, tagline identification, Management Guru, and quotes from famous business personalities.
