Sinhagad College of Architecture to host students’ zonal nat’l meet from tomorrow

Pune: The Sinhgad Technical Education Society’s (STES) Sinhgad College of Architecture will host the 60th Zonal National Association of Students of Architecture (NASA) Convention 2017 on the premises of the Sinhgad Institutes, Vadgaon Budruk, Pune from November 2 to 5. The participants are from over 35 colleges across Maharashtra.
The NASA is one of the oldest students’ bodies of undergraduate students of architecture in the country. They bring together students from over 120 colleges in India and abroad.

Commenting on hosting the fest on their campus, Banani Banerjee, Principal of Sinhgad College of Architecture, said, “We hope that students are able to imbibe industry expertise through this convention. We reiterate our belief to provide excellence in education through initiatives like these, which students can utilise in their future endeavours.”
The four-day mega event will be inaugurated by famous architect Christopher Benninger. The valedictory function will see a congregation of architects, including Vijay Garg, Vice-President of Council of Architecture (COA) in New Delhi; DT Vinod Kumar and Ramesh Chavan, members of COA. The convention will also witness other prominent speakers such as Shailesh Devi, Chair of Design at MET Bhujbal Knowledge City, Nashik.
The convention will have over 20 educational workshops and a number of seminars conducted by professional architects. It will also feature cultural events such as ‘dance’ and ‘Mr and Ms Zonsa 2017’.
