“We will talk about these matters with Gadkari and also the Defence Minister. A meeting of the committee is slated to take place on January 30. I do hope that these issues will be resolved during the meeting,” Shirole said.

Shirole said that the work permission from the Defence ministry for the Maha Metro and the availability of Defence land and the opening of Kalyani Nagar Road from Ghorpadi will also be discussed.

“I am certain that the meeting of the Infrastructure Committee will be positive. Files regarding projects keep on moving from one department to another all the time, and it will be difficult for me to talk about the new airport’s clearance status. I am hopeful that the meeting will be decisive,” Shirole, who is the head of the Pune Airport Advisory Committee, said.
