Pune: Kondhwa police on Friday busted a high profile sex racket during a raid carried out at Shalimar Society in Kondhwa. Two girls of Ugandan origin have been rescued.
However, police are yet to arrest the racket’s kingpin.
Acting on a tip-off a raid was carried on Friday afternoon at flat no 103 of D-Wing in Shalimar Hills society. Before carrying out the raid a trap was laid out by the police to catch the racketeer.
On the instruction of senior officials of Kondhwa police, a youth posing as a customer made a call to the number (9322044862). The trafficker informed about the rates as well as the location of the flat. A youth was sent to the location in the guise of the customer after which a raid was carried out.Two Ugandan girls of age 24 years and 32 years respectively, were rescued.
