Seven women rescued from flesh trade in Dighi, two held

According to the Social Security Cell, they received informed that Shivale was involved in a prostitution racket being run at Amantran Lodge situated at Alandi Moshi road in Dighi.

PUNE: The Social Security Cell of Pune police has rescued seven women from a prostitution racket being operated from a lodge in Dighi. The victims were rescued on Tuesday from Amantran Lodge in Dighi. The police have arrested the arrested the lodge owner and lodge manager, Vijay Shivale, 41, a resident of Dudalgaon and Vaijnath Babar, 27, a resident of Alandi, respectively. The arrests were carried out on the basis of information provided by an informer.

According to the Social Security Cell, they received informed that Shivale was involved in a prostitution racket being run at Amantran Lodge situated at Alandi Moshi road in Dighi. He used to lure women under the pretext of providing them employment and then force them into prostitution. A case has been registered against both the accused under relevant sections of Anti-Human Trafficking Act.
