Senior citizen robbed of Rs 3.5L

PUNE: Officials of Chatuhshrungi police have lodged a case of cheating against three persons who were selling dry fruits for allegedly cheating a senior citizen of Rs 3.53 lakh through card cloning.

As per information given by the Chatushrungi police, the 68-year-old complainant told police that he lost Rs 3.53 lakh from his account and blamed the dry fruits seller for skimming his card details to make a clone card before robbing him of the money. 

Police Inspector Vaishali Galande who is investigating the case said that the complaint was verified and accepted by the police. “The complainant told us that a woman and two other men were running a dry fruit stall. The complainant has alleged that his card details were stolen by the dry fruits seller to cheat him. We are investigating the case,” added Galande.

The complainant is a resident of Balewadi and the incident took place in Baner-Pashan area.
