Sanwad Pune and Amhi Ekpatri felicitate conservancy workers

Pune: As part of a noble initiative, Sanwad Pune and Aamhi Ekpatri Maharashtra felicitated women conservancy workers, orphan kids of Eklavya Trust, Somwar Peth, and visually challenged kids of Advait Parivar, Swargate, during ‘Ranrarang Diwali Pahat’ held at Yashwantrao Chavan Natya Gruha (auditorium) in Kothrud on Thursday. 

The organisers distributed sarees to conservancy workers along with sweets and gifts.

Pune: As part of a noble initiative, Sanwad Pune and Aamhi Ekpatri Maharashtra felicitated women conservancy workers, orphan kids of Eklavya Trust, Somwar Peth, and visually challenged kids of Advait Parivar, Swargate, during ‘Ranrarang Diwali Pahat’ held at Yashwantrao Chavan Natya Gruha (auditorium) in Kothrud on Thursday. 

The organisers distributed sarees to conservancy workers along with sweets and gifts.

The programme compromised of a dance show, and performances by standup comedian - Santosh Chorodiya and Vandan Nagarkar, who are also the President and Secretary of Amhi Ekpatri Maharashtra, and classical music by vocalist Dattaprasad Sahane along with some other light music singers and musicians.

Rajiv Tambe, famous author of children’s literature, well-known social worker Renu Gavaskar and Indrayani Gavaskar and Suresh Kote - Director of Mahila Gruh Udyog of Lijjat Papad distributed gifts. 

Santosh Chorodiya said, “Everyone celebrates Diwali with great fun and enjoyment but these kids are left alone and not remembered by anyone. So to give them their share of fun and care, we decided to hold this event on the occasion of Diwali”.
