Sandalwood worth Rs 25,000 stolen from Council Hall premises

Pune: Unidentified thieves made away with sandalwood from the premises of Council Hall. The incident, which occurred on Wednesday night, was reported to Bund Garden police station. 

According to the information provided by Bund Garden police, the unidentified thieves entered the premises of Council Hall on the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday. The thieves chopped away the sandalwood tree amounting to Rs 25,000 and easily made an escape from the spot.

According to the information provided by Bund Garden police, the unidentified thieves entered the premises of Council Hall on the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday. The thieves chopped away the sandalwood tree amounting to Rs 25,000 and easily made an escape from the spot. 

The police said that this is the first time that thieves entered the premises of Council Hall and committed a theft.

It’s a matter of security concern and needs to be rectified as Southern Command is also not far from the spot of the theft.
