Samant to strengthen Shiv Sena base in Pune

He said that during next 15 days he will meet all office-bearers of the party working in various assembly constituencies in Pune. He said he would devote more time for Pune for strengthening the base of Shiv Sena.

PUNE: Shiv Sena leader and newly appointed party affairs in-charge for Pune, Uday Samant said he would focus on strengthening the organisational  structure of the party.

He added that the Shiv Sena leader and workers in Pune are capable and he would take them along while running the party affairs in Pune.

He was speaking to the press after being appointed as Shiv Sena’s political affairs chief for Pune on Wednesday at Shiv Sena Bhavan in Deccan Gymkhana. He said that during next 15 days he will meet all office-bearers of the party working in various assembly constituencies in Pune.

He said he would devote more time for Pune for strengthening the base of Shiv Sena.

“There are only 10 Shiv Sena corporators in the PMC but around 15 candidates lost by only 500 to 1,000 votes it means the Shiv Sena has strong base in the minds of citizens of Pune and the party would expand that base,” he said.  He said he would try to hold a party rally in Pune in the presence of party chief Uddhav Thackeray.
