Sakal drawing contest for college students a big success

Pune: The Sakal drawing competition held for college students on Tuesday and Wednesday received a huge response in Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad. The competition, which was organised for the first time in seven colleges in Pune, saw participation from over 1,000 students. Likewise, various fine arts, architecture and fashion technology institutes from Pimpri-Chinchwad saw huge participation. 

The youths expressed themselves through various shapes and drawings, creating pictures on 'positivity and social media', 'reuse and recycle', 'my body and my boundaries', and 'change your thoughts and society will change', were some of the topics given to the youths. 

An interesting fact about this competition was students from fine arts and architecture colleges participated in the competition and stole the limelight. Students from MCE School of Arts (Azam campus), Abhinav Kala Mahavidyalaya (Pashan), Abhinav Kala Mahavidyala (Tilak Road), Sai Kala Mahavidyala (Katraj), Anantrao Pawar College of Architecture (Parvati), Bharati Vidyapeeth College of Fine Arts (Katraj) and Banuben Nanavati College of Architecture for Women (Karve Nagar) participated in the competition.
