Rural students excel in scholarship examinations

Pune: Maharashtra State Council of Examination (MSCE) has recently announced the results of Class 5 and Class 8 scholarship exams. Numerous students in Pune district, especially in the rural areas, have excelled in the state-wide exam.

Pune district has the maximum number of students receiving the scholarship in Class 5 examination, with 1,075 students in the district getting the scholarship.

Some of the students in the rural region of the district emerging toppers in the State include Sahil Sahebrao Pokharkar from ZPPS Pimpalgaon Tarfe Mahalunge, Diksha Gaikwad from ZPP School Takali Bhima, Bhumika Chaudhari from ZP Primary School Shikrapur, and many more.

Sukhdev Dere, Commissioner, MSCE said, “It looks like the urban schools do not take the scholarship examinations very seriously. On the other hand, it might be possible that the Zilla Parishad (ZP) schools in the rural areas consider the exam as an opportunity for their students to shine.”
