Rs 39.59 lakh stolen from two ATMs in Chakan

The incident took place early in the morning on Thursday. According to the Pune rural police, the thieves had used a gas cutter to break open the two machines in Walke Complex near Palkhi Chowk in Mhalunge

Pune: Unidentified thieves allegedly stole Rs 39.59 lakh from two ATMs of ICICI Bank and attempted to break an ATM of HDFC Bank in Mhalunge in Khed taluka on Chakan-Talegaon Road.

The incident took place early in the morning on Thursday. According to the Pune rural police, the thieves had used a gas cutter to break open the two machines in Walke Complex near Palkhi Chowk in Mhalunge.

The thieves had also tried to break HDFC ATM near Renuka Hotel nearby, the police said.
