Rotary Youth Week will test students with unique events

Pune: Kothrud’s Rotary Youth Week flagged off on Friday, where members are exploring untouched concepts.

Dr Sumedha Bhosale took the seminar on Neurobics at MITCON business school, Balewadi, on Friday.

Students executive development seminar on the topic ‘competitive strategy’ will be held at MIT College by Sanjay Runwal on September 25, followed by an interactive session with the students of Abasaheb Atre Day and Night School on the topic entrepreneurship to inspire deprived kids coming from a poor background by Mandar Lele on September 26.

About 800 girls from Huzurpaga Girls College, AISSMS College, Marathwada Mitramandal College of Commerce (MMCC) and girls from Skill Development Centre of Karve Institute will participate in the NEO Sari Draping Contest, Reliving Tradition, on September 28.

The event will be judged by fashion designer Nivedita Saboo.

“The contest will divert attention towards our culture and tradition. This will also be a personality test and an additional knowledge.

“Nivedita will also interact with students and give them deep knowledge about industry and work,” said Satyajeet Karade Patil, event coordinator. On the last day of Rotary Youth Week, the club members will organise a public speaking contest on Digital India at Modern College of Engineering, Shivajinagar.

Joint Managing Director of Quick Heal Sanjay Katkar will be speaking about entrepreneurship and motivating students by sharing the story of his journey.
