Retd Colonel loses Rs 2.08L to fraudsters

PUNE: A retired Colonel has lodged an FIR with Kondhwa police station alleging that Rs 2.08 lakh was transferred from his account through internet banking to two accounts without his consent. He claimed that he had not shared the OTP or account details etc with anyone.  

The two transactions happened in April this year. The 50-year-old complainant stated in his FIR that after preliminary enquiry with the bank, it was found that Rs 1.1 lakh was transferred to a bank account in Lucknow and Rs 98,500 to another account in Allahabad.
