Pune: The railway administration flagged off special trains for devotees who visit Pandharpur for Ashadhi Ekadashi celebration on Saturday. The train will run daily from July 21 to 25, leaving in the morning from Pune and then in the afternoon from Pandharpur.
As per Pune division officials, train number (01487) Pune-Pandharpur will depart from Pune station at 6.15 am and reach Pandharpur at 1pm. The return service, (01488) Pandharpur-Pune, will depart from Pandharpur at 3.30 pm and reach Pune at 8.35 pm.
The train will stop at Hadapsar, Manjari Budruk, Loni, Uruli, Yavat, Kedgaon, Patas, Daund, Bhigwan, Parewadi, Jeur, Kurduwadi and Modalimb on the route.
All coaches in the special train will be of general category.
The train was flagged off by MP Shivajirao Aulwalao Patil, Pune Mayor Mukta Tilak and Divisional Railway Manager Milind Deouskar, Additional Railway Divisional Railway Manager Praful Chandra, Senior Divisional Commerce Manager Krishnath Patil, Senior Divisional Operations Manager Gaurav Jha, among others. During the occasion, a large number of passengers were present.
