Railsurksha App inaugurated for safety of railway passengers

Pune: The Ministry of Railway inaugurated ‘Railsuraksha App’ for its passengers. The App helps a passenger search for the nearest police station and hospital’s contact in case of emergency. 

Phone numbers of railway officials will be also be available via tha app. 

The App allows the passenger to post about any accident or happenings around them. It also includes a panic button for ladies, elderly people and children in any emergency.

On Wednesday, DK Sharma, General Manager, Central Railway, inaugurated the app in Sangli. The ‘Railsuraksha App’ can be downloaded free from Google Play Store and Apple store. 

The app will provide information on all central railway stations, central trains and emergency phone numbers of the officials. The user will be helpful in locating any stations RPF office, station managers office, hospital and ambulance. 

Facilities 
† Register your phone number for access. 
† Complaints can be filed. 
† Authorities can be alerted in case of situations like bomb blast, fire, earthquake, flood etc. 
† The messages will directly alert the local police, hospital and fire brigade. 
† Useful to report cases of thefts or eve teasing. 
† Passengers can check PNR status along with the live train status.
